I'm hoping to do NaNoWriMo* (write a 50000-word story in November) this year, for the first time in over a decade! I was wondering if anyone would be interested in being an accountability buddy that I could email each day's work to as I finished it? I know that getting comments every day on "(Count Your Age) By Friends, Not Years" really helped incentivize me to keep going, so I'm hoping this would work similarly.
You wouldn't have to commit to read/comment every day or anything like that; like, if you wanted to send an encouraging reply once in a while that would be nice but I know 2k every day is a lot to read as well as to write! (But on the other hand I would be a lot more likely to take e.g. "I liked X, do more of that" comments into consideration than usual, since I usually only share completed work with people!)
I write polished first drafts so it ought to be very readable, probably just a bit more disjointed than the final version.
The fic is basically like if you tossed "(Count Your Age) By Friends, Not Years" (the fic I wrote for Ethan's 60th birthday) in a blender with a bunch of hurt/comfort, both physical and emotional. Briggs POV of Ethan vs. Gabriel, as Gabriel breaks into a storage unit of Ethan's and forces him to share stories about some of the mementos he's stored there.
Characters: Briggs, Degas, a few OCs who work with them; Gabriel & the Entity; Ethan, Benji, Jane, & Luther. (Also Ethan's stories will include a variety of characters from all 7 movies.) Gen except a couple of the stories might involve canon ships. Ilsa is alive offscreen as per my usual approach to post-M:I-7 but I'm undecided if Briggs will figure that out. Everyone gets hurt (mostly electric shock, courtesy of the Entity) except Gabriel & Luther.
